The KNeW Company has a zero-waste water treatment service that converts mine drainage into clean water and beneficial products.
KNeW offers its water treatment services to ore mines with water quality and quantity that meets certain parameters.
KNeW covers the cost of building and operating its facility, and can start on a 1:1 scale with existing facilities (essentially equivalent) to de-risk the decision.
The mine agrees to buy clean water (at a rate less than half the OPEX of running an RO plant for the same yield).
The mine also provides:
-Site Access for facility footprint (included in the water treatment agreement terms)
-Power Supply (for which KNeW pays the standard utility rate)
-Water System Integration (so KNeW can treat at least 500,000 gallons per day of the tailings water providing clean water at the agreed volume and price).
KNeW systems leave no brine or waste at the mine, only clean water is provided back to the mine with practically full recovery (99.5% of the tailings water gets recycled, after minimal loss to evaporation). This greatly increases the security and sustainability of the mine, no longer adding toxic tailings fluids or brine/waste piles to operational liabilities; instead increasing profitability and efficiency.
The KNeW Company provides zero-waste water treatment as a service to qualified ore mines who want to profit more and pollute less with minimal financial or operational risk.
